It's A Sister Thing

This is our mutually agreed upon favorite picture of both of us.  We just love this one, it captures the best of us.


Mom and I were sitting at Wendy's eating lunch this afternoon when we noticed these 2 adorable little girls sitting next to us waiting for their mom to bring their food over.  The sisters were probably the same age as Dreamer and I in our fav picture here.  They whispered in each others ear, laughed and took care of each other while waiting for mom and their baby sister.  They reminded both mom and me so much of this time in lives that we damned near made the same comment about them!  Mom said she loved when her girls were that age, so full of fun and up for adventure.


I've always been at a loss for words when trying to explain the sister thing to some woman who doesn't have a sister. I simply know I am soooo lucky to have Dreamer for a sister.  No one knows me quite the way she does, not my mom or my hubby...ok maybe the hubby a bit lol!  I could not deal with my mom's illness without her.  She's invaluable even when she thinks she's far away and not very helpful.  She keeps me sane and centered and makes me laugh when it's hard to find a giggle.

There's something I want her and you to know.  She and mom and I found love in a hopeless place.  I'm not a big Rihanna fan, but "We Found Love" resonates with me about the 3 of us.  We have each dug deep in the midst of this horrible illness and found so much love in this hopeless place.  It carries me through the worst of days and keeps me motivated as I take care of my mom.  Helped in large part by our sister thing.
